About Vitaliy
Hey there!
I am Vitaliy, a tutor at viaRussian. I live in Lviv, the cultural capital of Ukraine. I was born in Belarus and my family is an interesting mixture of Ukrainian and Russian people (it is a long story, which I can tell you in our lesson).
Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, and all other nations where Russian is spoken have their own culture, incredible history, rich literature, and unique traditions. I believe that it is impossible to understand the culture and people when you do not understand their language. Thus, I am glad to help you during this exciting journey with all my knowledge and experience.

- Born in Gomel, Belarus
- Grew up in various towns in Ukraine since my father was a military officer

Interests
- Languages: My goal is to speak at least 5 languages. I learn German right now. It was a real challenge to start from zero. But I improve step by step.
- Sports: I played volleyball professionally when I was at school. Who knows where I would have been if I had been a little bit taller. 🙂
- Music: I play the acoustic and electric guitar in a small church band. I am also a big admirer of jazz and soul.
- History: I have been fascinated by history since my childhood. If there were a time machine, I would use it without any doubts.
